Guadalajara, Mexico’s Most Mexican State

25 January 2012 by

Ever wonder what the perfect marriage between the historic and modern would be like?  What if we add the spring season all year long?  Well, you get none other than the great city of Guadalajara!  It is the perfect union of class, culture, modernism, all topped with the perfect year-round weather which makes for the picture-perfect backdrop.  Let Patawalk (http://www.patawalk.com) introduce you to this magnificent place.

The city of Guadalajara is titled by the city of the same study in Spain.  The study Guadalajara, to be more specific, comes from the Arab language and it means “Valley of Stones or “Stony River.”  It was found by Nuno de Guzman in 1542, with 126 residents; this day it has over a million residents.

Now that you’ve learned a bit about the foundation of this year-round spring city, let me tell you what truly makes it mythologic today.  The Historic Center is the oldest part of the city.  One main area here is the Plaza de Armas, which is kind of like a park.  It is square-shaped, surrounded by gardens, the benches are made out of iron and it has a kiosk, also made of iron brought from Paris.  Another spectacular historical place you must see is the Metropolitan Cathedral.  This is one of those buildings that dates back to the 1500s, this particular one was established in 1616 and is truly an architectural marvel for it is a mixture of Gothic, Baroque, Neoclassical, and Moorish.  It also has to towers, which were re-built in the 19th century.  Inside, the cathedral has eleven altars, three central areas, and the roof is supported by thirty columns (much like the ones used in Greece).  Within the vicinity, there’s one very interesting monument known as Rotonda de los Hombres Ilustres (Rotunda of Illustrious Men).  This monument was built in memory of distinguished people from the say of Jalisco.  Built in 1952, it is in a circular shape made of quarried stones containing seventeen columns.  What really makes it interesting is that it houses the remains (in small urns) of ninety-eight illustrious people.  If you’re into art, then you have to visit the Palace of the Say Government, which features murals created by one of Mexico’s most famous painters (also a native of Jalisco), Jose Clemente Orozco.   Teatro Degollado (Degollado Theater) is not only a theater, but its ceiling has a painting depicting a scene from the “Divine Comedy”- the epic poem written by the Italian author Dante about a journey through hell, the purgatory, and heaven.  If you would like to visit at least one museum, then go to Jalisco Regional Museum.  Rarely will you have the opportunity to see a complete mammoth skeleton!  But that’s not all; the museum has sections dedicated to Paleontology, Pre-history, History, Painting, and Archeology.  Another interesting building is the Ex-Hospicio Cabanas which was built in 1810 by the Catholic Church as an orphanage.  The building features a neoclassic style of structure and this day it is as a cultural institute featuring art and several murals.  Since you’re visiting the colonial style part of the city, why not experience a tiny of that colonial life and visit the area on a “Calandria”, which are horse-drawn carriages.

After all taking in the magnificence of Guadalajara you’ll surely work out an appetite.  When you visit Guadalajara, make sure to taste the native dishes.  “Birria” is definitely a staple dish of Guadalajara; it is usually goat meat cooked in a spicy sauce/broth which includes chili peppers, ginger, cumin, black pepper, oregano, and clove.  It is usually served with corn tortillas and limes on the side and topped with minced onion and cilantro.  If you’d like to try birria, it is sold at most Mexican-food restaurants but one that really stands out is Las Nueve Esquinas (The Nine Corners).  Tortas Ahogadas (Drowned Tortas) is another classic Guadalajara dish.  A “Torta” is similar to a sub sandwich, but uses oblong-shaped bun that is crunchy on the top but soft in the interior.  The bun is filled with fried pork, but you can get chicken, beans and cheese.  The sandwich is then submerged or “drowned” in a sauce made out of chili peppers and served with a side of radishes and avocados. Hmmm!  Lastly, another more well-known dish is “Posole”.  This is much like the famous menudo, except it has pork or sometimes chicken instead of tripe.  On a swift note, you should know that Guadalajara is so chesty of its culinary creations that it hosts La Feria Internacional de Gastronomia (International Gastronomy Fair) each September.

Accompanying your food you should indulge in the state’s native drink: Tequila!  The drink is nearly synonymous with the city of Guadalajara.  Tequila is actually titled after the small town where it was created and is it lies just outside the city of Guadalajara.  The drink is taken from the native plant, Agave, which is fermented and distilled.  This is an ever growing industry and you can take a tour of three of the most well-known distilleries: Sauza, Jose Cuervo, and Herradura.  The most interesting of the three is the Herradura Tequila distillery because it has kept the traditional and original factory.  This is a complete hacienda and in fact, the owners still reside right there.

What superior time to take pleasure in a shot of tequila or maybe a margarita than when submerged in Guadalajara’s night life.  Unlike most nightlife of beach towns, Guadalajara offers an array of nightlife entertainment for all ages and preferences.  You can achievement into a nice talking club like “Copenhagen 77″, a high calibre piano bar such as “El Piano”, or you can diversion all night at a rock nightclub like “Hard Rock Café”.  Of course, the night life also offers opera, ballet, and live theater.  So all you have to do is decide what you’re in the mood for and it’s there!

If you’re in the mood for some shopping, then visit Mercado Libertad (Liberty Market), which is one of the largest indoor traditional markets in Mexico.  It features over 1000 vendors and here bargaining is like an art.  It’s nearly impossible to not find what you’re looking for.  You can find everything from Mexican candies, wooden toys, food, leather coats, perfumes, watches, radios, clothing, and so much more.  To get a true musical experience then the Plaza de los Mariachis is a must.  Here, you can listen to the world renowned Mariachi music live.  Mariachi music originated in the neighboring town of Cocula, Jalisco but it is now mainly associated with Guadalajara.  What really brought about the association of the Mariachi music with Guadalajara was in 1907 when a group performed in front of the then president, Porfirio Diaz, and the then Secretary of Say of the United States.  Guadalajara has in fact embraced and made this music part of their culture.  It is such an important part of the culture that Guadalajara hosts El Festival del Mariachi y Charreria (The Festival of Mariachi and Horse Riding).  Participants from all over the world including Japan, France, and Belgium can be seen here performing their ideal tunes.  In fact, just last year 542 mariachi musicians played together breaking the record for the largest mariachi group.  Charreria is something that is very much entwined with the mariachi music.  This is the original cowboy rodeo art; here the “charros” (cowboys) perform and compete in different horse riding and roping events.  You can see both the Charreria and the Mariachi performing each Sunday afternoon in the bullring – Plaza de Toros Nueve Progreso.

The city is also host to two other international events: The International Film Festival of Guadalajara and The Guadalajara International Book Fair.  Both fairs, as the study indicates, features participants from all over the world.  The first clean takes place in March and interesting the event last year featured over 200 films.  The Book Fair is indisputably the largest Spanish-language book clean and an astonishing 300 publishing firms from over 30 countries are in attendance.

This great city also offers a tiny something for the kids.  The city’s installation is one of the most impressive in the country and adjacent to the installation is a one-of-a-kind amusement park, Selva Magica (Magic Jungle).   The installation has over 1,500 different animals.  The amusement park has over 35 rides, a dolphin show and even the toucans perform!

Why wait, go indulge right now, see it in 360 at Patawalk (http://www.patawalk.com)!

Hotel Web Sites Counting on Traffic From Third-Party Links

25 January 2012 by

The popularity of feature-rich travel web sites is continually growing as they provide current information on hotel properties and often offer a review portal where prospective quests can check-out what others are saying about the hotel, before they check-in.

With websites like TripAdvisor®, boasting 31 million visitors a month, the importance of good placement on the major hospitality industry web sites is clear.

“I believe travel blogging sites such as TripAdvisor.com can be invaluable to pass travelers by offering genuine, non bias views about resorts and destinations”, stated Drew Frahm, Vice President of Millennium Management LLC, who manages Vista Cay Resort in Orlando Florida. “From the hotels stand-point, we believe it is a great tool for communicating a better-quality product such as ours without spending massive capital and efforts on marketing. There really is no more honest or superior form of advertising than word of mouth.”

Millenium Management’s Vista Cay Resort is #2 on TripAdvisor’s list of specialty hotels in Orlando and has benefitted from the increased traffic that comes with the high listing.

The top rated travel sites like TripAdvisor grant visitors to do more than check hotel rates in their destination city, and this is a huge reason for their success. From the TripAdvisor home page you can find hotels, view flights and cruises, read and write reviews, view area restaurants, and even discuss your pass plans with others in an online forum. Your entire pass can be planned, flights booked, hotels reserved and automobiles rented from a single web site.

With so much competition for vacationers in favourite tourist destinations like Orlando Florida, a one-stop pass destination resource is the ideal insurance that travelers are spending their money wisely and getting true value during their hard-earned vacation.

The Ballad of Vintage Couture

24 January 2012 by

The Ballad of Vintage Couture

Less than a decade ago, Vintage Couture clothing was merely old clothing, an unnamed category of inventory, unappreciated at apiece thrift shop in America. No resale shop would accept this type of merchandise, or passé clothing for consignment. Kids of couture-clad moms and aunts and grandmothers disdained their legacy and donated these items. Volunteers were indifferent, tagging the merchandise at low prices and tossing them on racks where they would swing month after month, snubbed by the impoverished and most foraging bargain hunters.

Few valued clothing produced and styled forty to fifty years ago. The couturiers fell into public obscurity: Jean Muir, Pauline Trigere, Rafael, Madame Gres, Donald Brooks, Gloria Scherrer, Hanae Mori, even Chanel by CoCo. There was a minuscule market, and it was a refined market. Teachers at Fashion Design Schools would forage, find, and buy definitive items to instruct their students construction, fabrics, detailing, and styling. Treasure hunters would rummage and buy an item that triggered a girlhood memory of an aunt, their mother, a cousin, or a motion picture star, whose panache was evoked by this clothing. It was unlikely they wore these purchases. They were mementos, bought in an impulsive, nostalgic recollection moment for a song. Another type of shopper was the home sewers, not seamstresses or tailors by vocation, but home sewers. They would hunt for the perfect piece to take apart and study, re-construct couture, and make and update patterns from the pieces. Thrift shops selling vintage couture become a staple of modern cities near the turn of this century. Theme parties, Halloween, cross dressers, transsexuals would bring customers to thrift shops for costumes. It was no longer the excitement of vintage clothing that was driving the traffic, but the sheer nature of mimicking an early time.

I was not in any of the refined markets listed above when I happened upon a severely abused, moth ridden, red and blue striped, wool jersey Chanel suit with a skirt tagged in 1995. I was, instead, looking for merchandise for an as yet nascent resale shop which would specialize in used couture clothing and accessories. My shop was to be located somewhere wonderful in wonderful Chicago devoted to obtaining couture merchandise by outright purchase, not consignment. My money for inventory was very tight. I had to resort to thrift shops to obtain adequate inventory to stock a shop whose square footage finally could be no more than 300 square feet. The sleeve and its clearly classifiable Chanel button caught my eye. Neither stripes, nor red, nor blue, nor suits with skirts, nor wool jerseys were in style. The crown was unstylish, a fitted jacket; the skirt was unfashionably designed with a pleated torso.

I bought it in a moment, along with apiece and apiece other couture item I could find that day and apiece successive day until the ‘starter’ store opened on June 10, 1995. I paid hundreds of dollars to renovate, recondition, and dry clean these items. I blew my budget and resorted to consignment for current couture clothing and accessories to bulk up to 450 pieces. I arranged the Shop by couture label, interspersing current with passé. I sold to encourage

women to try on styles from 40-50 years ago, reminding women of couturier obloquy from the past, drawing up similarities between then and now styling and associating fog couturiers as muses of present couturier houses. Many customers called it “Old crap.” I had no response.

And to this day, 13 years of operation later and in another shop four times larger than the starter shop from ten years ago, I can't tell you exactly why I did this. What I can tell you is that I had to, was compelled to, because the clothing and accessories were simply wonderful. Now, this merchandise is called Vintage Couture. It’s very difficult to find at reasonable prices for it’s very popular. I find it here and there at somewhat reasonable prices and stock it in the Shop, where it proudly hangs amongst its younger cousins.

You might ask about the red and blue striped wool jersey Chanel suit with a skirt which began the epiphany. I renovated it, reconditioned it, had apiece moth hole repaired, replaced the lining, shortened the skirt and wore it for a publicity shoot at the kickoff of the starter store. I can’ tell you why I select it. Turning fey, I can pretend it called to me from my closet, “I’ll be a good luck talisman during the heady first year of operation roller coaster all new merchants are required to ride.” Maybe; maybe not. The roller

coaster has smoothed out to a highway where I drive The DAISY Shop car, steering it this way and that and loving the merchant qualities I’ve learned to acquire.

The suit has transmuted into my uniform. I wear it to talking engagements, where I sit nervously through the MC’s introduction and regularize out concentrating on the rippling stripes until I hear the polite smatter of applause. Then, I stand up, feel well turned out, as I proceed to the podium, and do my ideal to give back to the entrepreneurial community. I wear it to preview parties, where I mingle and munch with other merchants from Chicago’s wonderful Oak Street and feel well turned out and a part of the merchant community. I wear it to business meetings, where I listen or am listened to and feel well turned out. The fact is I never tire of wearing it.

I don’t know who bought this suit originally from Chanel, but I wish I did. I know she was a small-framed, lean person, for the suit is small, and only thin women are willing to wear horizontal stripes. I envision she was fair-haired, for red and blue look well on fair-haired women. I know she had a relatively massive disposable income, for Chanel was always pricey. Frankly, it’s a rather jazzy outfit, and I’d like to think she was a jazzy lady, not quite quietly elegant, sometimes outré and other times conservative. I’d rather not think it was a fashion mistake that she place in the back of her closet, never wore, but couldn’t bear to donate for the high price she had paid. I think she went to the Chez Paree in Chicago on Saturday night dates with her husband and smoked cigarettes there from long cigarette holders. I think she did volunteer work some where worthwhile and had a long and happy life with her massive family around her. I think she would enjoy knowing her suit is still valuable and doing its job of making its wearer feel well turned out.

I think CoCo would be pleased, too.

Atlantis Bahamas: Sightseeing In The Bahamas

23 January 2012 by

Considering a trip to the Atlantis Bahamas? If you’ve never been to the Bahamas, you don’t know what you’ve been missing. The Bahamas have some of the major tourist destinations in the world, and they offer a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Many people dream of a pass in the Bahamas, whether they get there through business or pleasure. You might want to think about focusing your trip on the Atlantis Bahamas, a world-class resort near the main city of Nassau. A trip to the Atlantis Bahamas need not be as costly as you might think.

There are two main islands: New Providence Island and Grand Bahama Island. There are also several smaller islands, which include Abacos, Acklins, Andros, The Berry Islands, Bimini, Cat Island, Eleuthera, The Exumas, Inagua, Mayaguana, and San Salvador. All of the islands offer beautiful sites to vacation. All feature crystal turquoise waters, endless stretches of white sand beaches and beautiful weather combine to create a pass that’s hard to duplicate anywhere else.

Several commercial airlines fly to the Bahamas, which is a very short flight from Florida. If you plan your trip around a stay at the Atlantis Bahamas, you can fly directly to Nassau, and then take a short taxi ride to Paradise Island (just a short drive over a bridge connecting Paradise Island to the mainland). Another option is to take a cruise. Nassau is a very favourite stopover for cruise ships from nearly each line. Check with your travel agent regarding what finding and paperwork are required for traveling to the Bahamas. Passport and Visa regulations have undergone some changes recently, and you don’t want to end up without some crucial identification.

Need to relax? Your options are limited only by your imagination. The beaches are second to none, and strolling through the gentle wavelets where ocean meets land is an experience you won’t want to miss. If you like to sunbathe, there are tons of deserted (or relatively deserted) beaches. Grab a section of beach to yourself, and enjoy some sun! If you like to golf, there are several world-class golf courses located in the Bahamas. If you like gambling, there are several casinos that offer all sorts of sports betting, slot machines and plateau games to keep you busy for as long as you want to linger. Again, if you plan your Bahamas trip around a stay at the Atlantis Bahamas, all of these activities will be a short stroll from your hotel room!

The locals are friendly, and they love welcoming new visitors. Shopping is truly a one-of-a-kind experience; with many shops that offer items you can’t get back home. English is the primary language in the Bahamas, so you don’t need to worry about a language barrier.

If you visit the Bahamas, make sure you at least wander through Atlantis Bahamas, the largest resort in the country. Atlantis Bahamas is aworld-class, and houses the largest casino in the islands. Atlantis Bahamas is the destination for many families, conferences, conventions, and can accommodate several thousand attendees.

All-Inclusive Resorts in Jamaica – What Should Be Included

22 January 2012 by

The ideal way to book your say pass is in the form of an all-inclusive travel package. To do so, you must first select from one of the many all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. When analyzing your options, you will find a variance in terms of inclusions. But, what should you look for? What should be included at an inclusive resort?

Rooms: All-inclusive resorts in say should give you lots of staying options. Your room should come with a good view. That view might be of an ocean or a garden, but it should be one or the other and beautiful. In addition to “standard” rooms, upgrades to suites are acquirable as well. Suites with ocean views or oceanfront suites are very popular; therefore, reservations should be made in advance.

Food: A good all-inclusive resort includes the cost of food with your stay. However, they should include more than just breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All of your snacks should be included as well. Also, look for no limits or restrictions. You shouldn’t be limited to one snack. If you want two or three snacks throughout the day, you should get them.

Drinks: Here is a trap set by some less than stellar all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. When drinks are included, you should get more than just an unlimited supply of water, juice or soda. Alcoholic beverage should be included too. Specifically look for resorts that say they include premium alcoholic beverages, like the ideal wine or liquor.

Tips: Tips are not included at all of the all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. Typically, they are only inclusions at upscale inclusive resorts or super-inclusive resorts. By opting for a resort with tips listed as an inclusion, you save time and hassle. There is no need to bring your notecase (remember your meal was included too) and there is no need to sit there for 10 minutes trying to determine the ideal tip.

Water Sports: If you opt for a beachfront resort, water sports should be listed as inclusions. What does this mean? It means you don’t pay extra; it was already included in the cost of your trip. Basically, you shouldn’t have to pay any gear rental fees. While water sports do vary from resort to resort, here are some commonly offered: windsurfing, waterskiing, kayaking, snorkeling, and water volleyball.

Land Based Activities: Even beachfront resorts in say should have lots of land based activities listed as inclusions. As with water sports, these vary from resort to resort. However, you might find tennis, basketball, jogging, swimming, exercising, and volleyball. As for swimming and exercising, most all-inclusive resorts in say have a massive fitness center and multiple onsite swimming pools. These activities should be listed as inclusions.

Note: Two other facilities found on some all-inclusive resorts are golf courses and spas. These are typically listed as extras, meaning you must pay a separate fee. This is standard practice among all say resorts.

The above mentioned inclusions are some of which you should find offered at truly all-inclusive or super-inclusive resorts. But wait! What about actually making your choice and booking your trip?

Don’t just look for a resort packed full of inclusions, ensure those are inclusions you will use. This is important with land and water sports. You already paid to access these activities, so get your money’s worth. Also, take meals into consideration. Your food is included, but have more than one onsite restaurant to select from. The ideal all-inclusive resorts in say have a bar, upscale restaurant, and casual eatery.

If vacationing on a budget, you might want to price compare. Of course price comparing is okay, but you must proceed with caution. You want a good trip and this means the ideal value for your money, not necessarily the lowest price. A resort or hotel that includes your room, meals, and drinks looks cheap at first, but remember that you might still have to purchase your snacks and pay for your entertainment. That low price might end up costing you more. When comparing, always compare both calibre and price.

As for booking your trip, do so directly at the source. This means visiting the resort’s online website to book your trip. You are charged less fees and are likely to find superior deals and discounts by booking your all-inclusive say travel package direct.

Visit Breezes.com to book your stay at a luxury all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. Save both time and money with an all-inclusive travel package.

Rhodes the jewel of the Greek Islands, lidos and getting there

22 January 2012 by

Rhodes was voted 5th in the Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Most Popular Destination awards in 2008, and it is simple to see why. The island is the 3rd largest of the Dodecanese, part of the South Aegean Greek islands flanking the East coast of Turkey, and is locally known as ‘Island of the Sun’ as it boasts at least 300 days sunshine a year. Rhodes retains a strong Greek influence, whilst openly encouraging visitors, particularly in the South and interior of the island. The pace of life is slow and relaxing, a perfect getaway from the stresses and strains of normal working life. Crime rates on the island are extremely low.

Greek culture is centered on family life, and kids are warmly welcomed in bars and restaurants. There are many historical influences, including the remnants of the Colossus of Rhodes in Rhodes town, the capital of the island, and many archaeological sites from different eras found at many locations on the island No matter what kind of holiday you prefer, Rhodes caters for all tastes, from resting on the beach, shopping, exploring historical sights, watersports and vibrant nightlife.

The North of the island, including Rhodes town, Faliraki, Ixia, Trianda and surrounding areas, is well populated by locals and tourists, and offers a wide choice of activities and attractions for couples and families. The lower end of the East coast, South and West coast are considerably more rural, and offer a wealth of quiet coves alongside more traditional Greek villages. Because of the small size of the island, all aspects are within simple reach by car. Bus and taxi services are also easily accessible and, on the whole, reliable – even though the notorious ‘Greek time’ occasionally applies to the local bus services!

Lindos

Lindos Rhodes is a very favourite destination and only five minutes from Olive Grove Villa, and many visitors find themselves returning year after year. From the dear known ‘ooh-ah corner’ on your approach to Lindos, arguably one of the most breathtaking views in Greece can be seen.Under the imposing 2nd century BC acropolis lies a maze of narrow, vibrant streets surrounded by whitewashed, sugar cube houses with elegant doorways and intricately pebbled courtyards. The 4 beaches, all within easywalking distance of Lindos centre, are also diverse. A large, sandy, family friendly beach with Blue Flag position shelves gently into the crystal clear waters. Several beachside tavernas and WCs are found here, and pedaloes, motorboats and other watersports for the more adventurous are offered during summer. An excellent glass bottom boat trip departs from here, and is a must-do during your stay! Pallas beach is more intimate, and is the home of several excellent tavernas, some of whom will serve you from your sunbed, such as Skala on Pallas beach.    For complete tranquility, head to St Pauls bay, a quaint unspoilt cove, usually peaceful enough to rest while listening to the soothing sounds of the sea. This area is also mythologic for snorkelling amongst the surrounding rocks. The shelved sandy beach close to St Pauls chapel offers spectacular views of the acropolis and St Pauls bay, and a small taverna offers drinks and snacks – and champagne for celebratory drinks after wedding ceremonies, which favourite at this location.   All Rhodes beaches are kept very clean, and because of the sheer number available, none is usually overcrowded. One of the uncommon features of Lindos is that even though during the day the village thrives with visitors, the streets are completely pedestrianised, the only transport being the occasional moped or the traditional Lindos donkeys.   Shops selling a wide range of cosmopolitan goods and gifts line the streets, along with a diverse range of tavernas and bars to suit each taste. One of the ideal ways to spend a lazy afternoon is with a cold frappe in Yiannis bar on the main street while people watching or listening to local chatter. The climb to the acropolis is arduous but worth it, for the views of Lindos, St Pauls bay and the neverending blue sea from the ancient castle walls are nothing short of spectacular. On the path towards the acropolis, Lindean ladies sell traditional, hand-embroidered tableware. If the achievement is too strenuous, take a donkey (Lindos taxi) to the castle walls.   Within the ancient acropolis site is a relief of a ship, carved in 170 BC by the Lindeans. Walk through the Doric columns, up the “stairs to heaven” to the top level of the acropolis, where the part-renovated Temple of Athena stands, constructed during the 4th century AD. Directly below the acropolis, adjacent to the newly built town square, lies the ancient theatre. A good proportion of the seating area carved into the rock remains today.   Also within the village are many chuches in different styles, often with intricate frescoes lining the walls. There are many ‘Captain’s houses’, built the 16th to 18th century, whose exquisite structure is one-of-a-kind to Greece. Many of these have been recently restored under the supervision of the Greek Archaeological Service, and several are now open to the public. Nightlife in Lindos is vibrant and friendly. The majority of visitors experiencing evening culture in Lindos are couples and families, and increasingly favourite wedding parties.Choose from romantic evenings dining on one of the many rooftop tavernas, or resting in one of the many welcoming. All bars are English speaking, and make you feel like a local on your first visit. Local kids often play in the streets in an evening, and kids are welcomed in restaurants and bars until late at night.   There are several nightclubs in Lindos, playing Greek, European and British favourite diversion music. By law, no loud music can be played after 12pm, so the nightclubs are soundproofed. Nightclubs are simple to find in the evening, yet unimposing on the traditional streets of the village. At the top of the village, at ’ooh-ah corner’, an outdoor all-night diversion club, the Ampitheatre, can be found, with great views of the morning sunrise. Free taxis to this venue are acquirable from the town square. Getting to Rhodes could not be easier, the flight time is just three and a half to four hours from most UK regional airports.
