Get the Most Out of Your FastPass

24 September 2011 by
Categories: Vacations

Long lines and restless guests in favourite queues are a thing of the past at Walt Disney World. At least it is for those who select to take advantage of Disney’s free service: FastPass.

So what is it?

FastPass debuted in 1999 and was embraced as a brilliant innovation in theme park engineering. This computerized system grants visitors to refrain standing in line for the most favourite attractions throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Many guests did not comprehend the system at the time and some still do not. As a matter of fact, during the three and a half years I was a cast member at the Disney-MGM Studios, I would often overhear guests remark: “Hey, that’s not fair! Those people pay extra and get to cut ahead of use in line!”

How does it work?

The FastPass attraction reservation system is very easy to use and ideal of all—it’s free. Go to a participating show or ride, locate the FastPass organisation and insert an admission ticket for apiece mortal in your celebration who wishes to enter the attraction. The FastPass organisation reserves a return appointment for your celebration and prints a pass for apiece ticket with a one-hour window (for example, 10:20-11:20 a.m.). From here, you can feel free to explore the less crowded attractions in your selected park. During that one hour time frame, you can usually squeeze in two (maybe three) smaller attractions instead of inactivity in that bloated line. Give yourself at least 15 minutes to be healthy to make it back in time for your designated FastPass time. When you arrive at the attraction, simply hand the cast member standing in front of the FastPass entrance your passes and you’re in!

Wow, that’s so cool! I think I’ll get one for each ride!

Not so fast. In order for Disney’s FastPass system to work properly, they had to implement restrictions on the amount of FastPasses a guest can hold during a given period of time. Each guest might hold one FastPass for one attraction each two hours or after the one hour window expires; whichever comes first. Why? If everyone were healthy to come in to the parks and get a FastPass for each attraction at once it wouldn’t be very fast, would it?

Great, I’m ready to go!

The most important bourgeois in getting what you want out of your Disney World visit is time management. Now that you know the FastPass system inside and out, you’ll be healthy to get out there and experience more of what the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer—faster, of course!

Florida is known as the Sunshine Say because of its long stretches of sandy beaches, larger-than-life theme parks and near perfect climate all year round. It is because of these attractions, Florida is one of the most favourite holiday destinations in the world. Florida is composed of 1,200 miles of sugary white beaches and surrounded by clear blue seas. Florida offers a one-of-a-kind blend of tropical sunshine, modern Miami culture and warm Southern hospitality. The ideal thing you will love about Florida is the weather. Florida’s average temperature is in the mid 80′s in the summer, and the mid 70′s in the winter.

To experience Florida as its best, it is highly advisable that you rent a pass rental home or a beach front condo that would wage you with the perfect sand and sea holiday.

A Florida pass would ensure you have a good time both indoors and outdoors.

Another fun activity to do in Florida, is shopping. Miami, in particular, is a very fashionable city. Miami is literally a melting pot of cultures.

To complete your Florida pass you must visit Orlando, the homeland of Mickey. Orlando is a vibrant city brimming with extravagant theme parks, shopping malls, late-night bars, restaurants and family catered entertainment. This is the reason why Orlando attained the distinction of being America’s theme capital.

Exploring Florida will take time because Florida is a very long state. Be aware that you will spend a lot of time on the road. if you want to visit both the Florida Panhandle and also Key West. So it would be necessary to spend at least two weeks in Florida to see all the sights. One week is simply not enough to catch all the fun Florida can offer.

SeaWorld Orlando Vacation Guide: Traveling with Kids

19 August 2010 by
Categories: Travel Tips

If you are going to make a popularity survey of the theme parks in the world, SeaWorld Orlando would surely make it as one of the top contenders. This marine theme park, which attracts over 80 million visitors each year since it opened its doors to the public in 1978, is comprised of fantastic rides, astonishing shows, and astounding sea creatures.

It is truly one of the ideal places to go to for a family vacation. If you are planning to go here with the kids, here are some tips to make your pass even more worthwhile.

1.         Plan it right

Going on a pass with children can't mean spontaneous road trips with no specific itinerary in mind. If you are going with kids, you know that you need to exert time and effort in planning it right. For one, you need to plan the place to stay. You need to select a hotel accommodation that is kid-friendly and if possible, near to SeaWorld so you don’t have to travel far to get to the theme park.

Another thing to plan for is the essentials to bring. Be sure to make a list of all the items that your children need so you don’t miss anything important. Bring all the medications and first aid kit they need in case of an emergency. If you are traveling with an infant or toddler, it would be ideal to bring high absorbent diapers to save much on the luggage space and so you don’t have to change diapers each hour.

Furthermore, you need to plan the attractions that you will see during the trip so you get to select those that you think your children would enjoy the most. Don’t forget the transportation arrangement. By air, you can get here through the Orlando International Airport. If you’re traveling by train, you would arrive at the Orlando Amtrak Station. By car, your route would be I-4 from Orlando or Tampa.

2.         Bring survival kit

Kids can get uncontrollable and impatient most of the time so you need to bring all the essential gadgets you need to keep them busy and occupied during inactivity and travel times. Examples of these are toys and coloring books.

3.         Avail a pass package

Traveling with children can be a huge challenge for some parents but it would help a lot if you avail Sea World pass packages. Orlando pass packages are also acquirable if you plan to visit other places too like Disney world and Universal Studios. See to it that you pick kid-friendly Sea World pass packages. Orlando has many things to offer and starting with SeaWorld you can surely have the time of your life.

4.         Educate your children about animals and nature

The trip should not be just about the fun and enjoyment. It should also be a good learning experience for your kids. Make sure that during the trip, you educate them about the different animals that they see and you instruct them the great importance of nature conservation.

Bringing the children to SeaWorld would be tons of fun, but it would also be a huge challenge especially if you have many children or if they are handful to handle. Be sure to follow the tips mentioned above so you can all have a great time.
