Taking a Florida beach pass has been a long tradition in our family. Even though we love to venture to other destinations and take in the beaches and tourist attractions from crossways the globe, Florida is our home away from home.

The beauty about Florida is that it doesn’t have to be expensive. You can have a wonderful trip by using some discount travel tips.

A Florida beach pass offers so much too select from and caters to just about anyone who enjoys fun, sun, sand, golf, attractions, calibre time, and more.

Here is just some of what you can anticipate if you take a Florida beach pass and who might enjoy traveling to the Sunshine State.

**Beautiful beaches from city to city and coast to coast. You can enjoy all types of beach beauty and wildlife whether you are on the Northern Atlantic Coast, South Beach, Key West, Gulf Shores, or Panhandle. The beaches are the ideal part (in my opinion) of the trip. Walk the beaches, play various sports, people watch, lay out in the sun, watch the children build in the sand, or whatever your heart’s desire. All this tucked right up against the sea. My other favorite part is waking up to feel the breeze and smell the seas blowing in as you hear the waves crashing against the shoreline. Amazing.

**Top notch golf. Florida has some of the ideal golf courses in the world, all designed by the best. Many times people travel to Florida just to take in the stupendous golf courses.

**So much to do. Water sports, all sorts of attractions, pool side, beach side, cocktails, shopping, astonishing food, great people, touring, and more. There will certainly not be a shortage of things to do. And remember, you can do all of this on a budget and there is something for everyone.

**Gorgeous weather. No matter what time of year you go, you can bet on great weather. Of course we can’t control Mom Nature and there are superior times to go than not, but Florida plays clean most of the time.

**Friendly people. We’ve always enjoyed meeting new and interesting people from crossways the country and world.

**Disney World. If you want to get away from your Florida beach pass or have the chance to take a trip to Orlando, be sure to visit the many sites and attractions that surround Disney.

**Relaxation. Serenity and beauty come with the trip and all for Free. Throw in your capability to rest and forget your regular grind and you’ll be sure to have an awesome vacation.

Key West And The Florida Key’s, A Great Place To Fly In, Get A Hotel And Stay Forever. It’s Paradise Usa

Key West is such a one-of-a-kind city with character and warmth you don’t find anywhere else. Being the southernmost city in the continental United States, Key West already has been healthy to garner quite a bit of publicity all on it’s own but before you plan your next pass there are some tips and hints that will make your pass much more enjoyable and much easier.

Firstly, getting to Key West. There are so many options this day for somebody to get to Key West. The problem is figuring out what you really want to do. If you want to jump right in and immerse yourself in Key West from the get go the obvious option is flying into Key West’s International Airport. The airfield just finished it’s renovation in 2009 and is a great tiny airport. The drawback to flying directly into EYW is that the cost’s are definitely higher so you get what you pay for. My individualized favorite is flying into Miami. From Miami Key West is an simple 3-4 hour drive. The air ticket will most likely cost you 30-50% less this way. Rent a automobile and enjoy the drive, there’s only one road in and out of the Florida Key’s and that’s US Highway 1. US1 is one of the most picturesque drives in the United Says (In my humble opinion) and if you have never driven it I would highly advocate doing so. The blue turquoise water’s of the American Caribbean are a great backdrop to your impending arrival to Paradise USA. If you don’t want the cost and both associated with renting a automobile you would be smart to look into the multiple shuttle service offered between Miami and Key West and all points in between. These shuttle will cost you less than per mortal and you don’t have to worry about anything but watching the scenery. The other option you have is to grab the Key West Express ferry from Fort Meyers. This is another great way to save some money and see a side of Florida not many people get to. The Express is loaded with lounge areas and refreshments and makes a leisurely trip to Key West totally perfect.

Our next topic has to do more with what do do when you get to Key West. Remember, Key West is a small island that is only 4 miles long by 2 miles wide. Once you arrive in Key West it is important to begin watching for landmarks. The first and most obvious landmark is the split of US1 as you enter the island. You only have two choice, right and left (it might help to have a map next to you while reading this), left takes you to the larger resorts on the top of the island as well as the airfield and Smather’s Beach. Going right, you begin down the opposite side of the island and US1 becomes Roosevelt Blvd, Roosevelt Blvd then becomes Truman Ave, the major artery of Old Town. Now that I mentioned Old Town you had superior know what I mean! Key West the island is split up into 3 sections; Old Town, Mid Town and New Town. As you enter the island at the US1 split you are essentially in New Town. New Town boasts street after street of late built bungalows and offers some solitude from the noise of Duval St. Mid Town is exactally that, Middle of the island. Mid Town blends the newer homes with a few more historic homes and the roads become less modern and more cut up. That leaves us where we started, Old Town. Old Town is where a majority of people coming to Key West end up, it’s where all of the hidden lanes are and where mostly all of the action is. Duval St. is at the heart of Old Town and is world famous, Mallory Square is where the Sunset Party is and is also in Old Town. If you came to Key West to celebration Duval St. and Old Town are where you want to be.

Watch for our next article outlining Old Town parking, traffic and general Do’s and Don’ts.

Anthony moved to Key West Florida and started many websites devoted to informing people about Key West and the Florida Key’s. You can see one of these at www.myhotelskeywest.com

If you’re weary of the overcrowded world, Huge Pine Key & The Lower Keys is the place for you. Situated just past the famed Seven-Mile Bridge, where the Keys island chain takes a graceful westerly turn, this is a quiet region of small resorts, down-home restaurants, untrammeled wilderness and rich history.

Whoever stated there was no unspoiled beauty left in Florida has never been to Caladesi Island Say Park. This diamond in the rough is one of the few remaining examples of a secluded island paradise. Four miles of undeveloped white sand beach and dunes line this island on the Gulf of Mexico, providing an saint escape for sun worshippers and nature lovers.

In fact, Caladesi Island was voted number one in the Annual Top 10 Beaches ranking by coastal expert Dr. Stephen Leatherman, Director of Coastal Research at Florida International University.

In addition to its beautiful beaches, the island boasts acres of lush mangrove forests; one of the few tree species that survives in salt water. The mangrove are also increasing the size of the island as their immense root system traps soil and continue to spread. Explore this area on foot via the three miles of trails or by kayak trails that intertwine through the forest. The vegetation on Caladesi Island provides an saint nesting place for the gopher tortoise, loggerhead and green sea turtles, and the occasional Eastern diamondback rattlesnake.

The beach at Caladesi is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. Popular sightings include American oystercatchers, black skimmers, royal and least terns and snowy, Wilson’s and piping plovers. On the bayside of the island watch for great blue herons, snowy egrets and roseate spoonbills. See if you can spot the osprey nests located atop barren pine snags.

Hours of Operation: Open from 8 a.m. until sundown all year round. Call (727) 469-5918 or visit http://www.floridastateparks.org/caladesiisland/ for more information.
