Cruise Deals – How To Get The Best Cruise Deal Online!
If you’re planning to take a cruise you want to make sure you get the ideal cruise deal bargain offered. And there are many ways to save a bunch of money on your next cruise if you know what to do. It isn’t hard to learn the secrets travel agents know when you’re looking for the ideal cruise deal. You can save as much as 65% scouting on your own or from 15-30% from the cruise line brokers and the cruise consolidators as they’re called.
There are many sites that offer clearance specials and last minute cruise deals. Then there are the possibly cheaper but much riskier last minute cruise auctions and classifieds which I won’t go into here. The last minute cruise deals are not hard to find because the cruise lines don’t want to have any empty cabins when they leave port and they make each effort to fill them.
Note that the offers you find on the cruise line sites are NOT going to be as good as those you find elsewhere or from cruise line brokers or the consolidators. So make sure you go to the other sites. Of course you can compare the prices you find with the cruise line’s site.
First of all to get the ideal cruise deal online you want to look for cruise sites that use the Revelex or OVS cruise reservation systems. This way you can easily compare prices on staterooms for many of the cruise ships at one time. Some of these sites have time limits on their offers so be ready but don’t purchase on impulse either. Last minute deals can save you a bundle.
Once you find what you think is a bargain or a good deal you can contact your local cruise travel agent and see if they can meet it or beat it. Some of the cruise lines forbid travel agents to discount their cruises but it doesn’t mean the agents don’t know about already-discounted cruises.
Once you’ve found some good travel websites, sign up for their email alerts so you’ll get fast notice on last minute cruise deals, package deals or clearance cruise deals or any other special offers that might be floating around out there. Sign up at several sites because you want the ones that are going to email you soon and often with the alerts and some of them might be too slow.
You can ask for a discount even on the final price for any cruise. Ask if they have a senior discount, business discount, student discount, health professional discount or AARP discount or AAA for example. There are also resident discounts or special offers if you live in a particular state.
Make sure to visit several sites and compare, don’t just settle on the first one No matter what low rate you find keep searching for a lower rate. The sites that compare several cruise lines at once will often bring up comparisons that make it simple for you to find the ideal rate.
You want to compare the cruise lines, cruise ships and the itineraries besides the price. You’re looking for a bargain – the cheapest cruise rates. Make sure to read the fine print on any site so there are no surprises later. It’s totally necessary.
Remember that some offers might be for the second-rate cabins. This means the cabins that are near noisy service doors or elevators or under the ballroom floor or near children’s activity areas. You don’t want to find out later that the reason your cabin was cheap was due to the location on the ship. Be aware that the last minute cruise deals or clearance cruise specials might be non-refundable. Read the contract closely.
It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a Carnival cruise deal, Disney cruise deal. Royal Caribbean cruise deal, Crystal cruise deal or any other cruise line, or if you and a partner and/or your family plan to go to Mexico, the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii or the Bahamas or cruise with celebrities; if you spend a tiny extra time learning the ropes you’ll not only save yourself a lot of money but you’ll get the ideal cruise deal online.

Travel With Kids…why?
22 May 2012 by admin
Categories: Travel Tips
This might seem like a stupid question – but lot’s of people have asked us just that. And to be absolutely honest after some bad days/daze we have asked ourselves the same. But after the tranquilisers have kicked in – theirs
really the question superior asked is why wouldn’t you? After all children get so much out of exploring the world in way’s adults can't imagine. They are healthy to explore the differences and similarities between environments, cultures, societies etc honestly, unaffected. They ask real questions and respond honestly to what they see – which can be both good and bad. It can often be much easier when many of the locals do not talk the same language… anyway. And children join – they don’t watch reservedly from the sidelines making judgements on what they think they comprehend – the get right in the middle of things and do it
Children learn by participating in life in ways that no text book or video can ever show them. OK – so without even trying we can come up with great reasons why to travel with kids…So why the question: Why travel with kids?
Before we address this question please let me give you a bit of background. Around 5 years ago we decided to give our children the opportunity to live in Bolivia for a year to spend time with their family (I was born in Bolivia and raised in Australia), learn Spanish and more importantly have the experience of living in another culture (with hindsight exposure to ‘the culture’ is absolutely credulous and absolutely problematic – particularly in this context. That topic deserves an article in its own right.) We knew the trip would be challenging but we did not realise the full extent of the task ahead of us. And the work began the minute we decided to do it.
So for the past 5 years we worked, saved money, worked more and saved more to fund the trip. We used a number of fund raising tactics that worked well which we will discuss in a future article. As we approached the departure date we re-priced flights etc to make sure our calculations were right and boy did we get a shock. Not only had the prices increased but we discovered a whole float of hidden fees and charges – by definition not anticipated. What made it worse was that most of those charges and fees offered minimal discounts for children (if any).
We knew that most airlines charge children 75% of the adult fare – OK superior than nothing. However surfing for accommodation and tourist attractions shows the travel market targets ‘couples’ or ‘adventurers’. The only place where families were featured in their web site were in resorts and themes parks etc and that included Bolivia. In general we found it very hard to find accommodation for a family of 5 as most hotels have triplet options at best. Staying in a hotel necessitates two rooms or someone has to sleep on the floor or share a bed – and it’s usually us – fun.
After discovering the float of hidden travel costs couples with minimal accommodation/sightseeing packages for families we are clearer than ever why a lot of families can't afford to travel. At home (Australia) most places offer some sort of discount for families eg at the movies, on trains, etc. But we found it hard to find such discounts when traveling and in some places children over 11 pay adult prices!!
It was clear that this was going to be a very costly exercise and we decided to go ahead as we believe the benefits far out weighed the costs. However, we had to find ways to reduce and cover the spiralling costs of the trip. Over the next series of articles we will be discussing some of the ways we managed to do just that. In addition we will also be discussing other issues that will help you and our children get the most out of your trip including:
travel with children and education; sanity (yours); the ‘will they remember’ question; sickness/health; keeping in touch/homesickness; travel and the unexpected; how to cope with culture shock and much more.
When we left Australia our children were 9, 8 and 5 years and all with very tiny Spanish. This was their second trip to Bolivia. In 2002 my grandmother was very sick. We wanted her to meet the children and for them to know their great grandmother. Happy to report she is still with us today. Anyway, 5 years later they were very reluctant to leave family and friends – we all were. Makes you spare a thought for immigrants and refugees… and am happy to state we are over half way through our trip with lots more adventures (and hidden costs?) to come.
We are all having a ball, despite the unexpected, and we know that we made the right decision. Though it would be interesting for us to us to know your views – what do you think about travelling with children and why?
Enjoy :>

Benefits of All-inclusive Honeymoon Packages
The eventual aim of taking a honeymoon trip is to enjoy and rest and once the honeymoon destination has been decided, the couple should decide on the honeymoon package that would make them stress free and enjoy the whole experience.
The honeymoon package should be such that it alleviates the trouble of planning itineraries and other travel headaches and an all- inclusive honeymoon package would be perfect. The first job of the couple is to select the honeymoon destination that both of them would enjoy and have the type of activates that would be interesting to both of them. Then, an all inclusive honeymoon package for that location which can be a cruise, hotel or a resort has to be chosen.
The honeymoon packages offered by the cruise ships are evenhandedly tempting and lucrative. Since, the ship travels to different parts of the globe, it offers quite a different and interesting experience. There are cruises with luxury included to make them more enjoyable. Such honeymoon packages are customized for various levels of budget.
Most probably, an all inclusive honey moon package will include costs of the stay in a hotel or resort, along with the transportation expenses, food, snacks, drinks and at times entertainment too. The greatest advantage of an all inclusive honeymoon package is that it saves a lot of time because, otherwise, the couple would have to make all the arrangements themselves that would take a considerable amount of time.
An all inclusive honeymoon package is cost effective too since more often than not, many travel companies and resorts offer discounts on all inclusive honey moon packages. Though the original cost might seem high, when apiece and each expense is taken independently, all inclusive package proves to be more economical.
A honeymoon package is different from other packages in the sense, that it focuses mainly on romance and intimate connection where both the partners can go for a spa, or get a special hotel service with the details to make the honeymoon unique. Generally, any travel is associated with tension and worry which is not so in a honeymoon package. Everything is reserved well in advance and well managed that the couple only have to enjoy the whole trip. The organizers make it a point to see that they receive no complaints from the couple till the end of the trip of their honeymoon.
There are a plethora of honeymoon package offers and to make the honeymoon unforgettable and enjoyable, the couple can take their own time and sit and discuss and plan well in advance. There are many offers in online too which can be utilized to compare the various offers and finally decide on one that suits the taste, needs, and budget of the couple.

Cruise Deals – How To Get The Best Cruise Deal And Save Money Too!
Going on a cruise was once an simple thing to arrange. All you had to do was go to your travel agent and look at a few brochures. But as the industry has grown it has become an overwhelming mix of itineraries, cruise packages, choices add-ons and prices. So how do you look through and search for all the acquirable information to find the ideal cruise deal? The following tips will help you find the ideal cruise and save you money.
1. The busiest season has always been Jan through March. This is when the cruise industry books the most cruises. Cruise lines usually make about 38 percent of their yearly income at this time. This is the ideal time to find many hot or last minute deals because they offer a lot of incentives.
2. Make sure to begin well ahead of your pass or holiday time if you can unless you want a last minute cruise deal. First of all you should call the cruise line you are most interested in and ask for the cruise line rep about any of their cruises and the staterooms. You can ask about handicapped-equipped staterooms then if this is a special need. You can always do this later after you do some research too.
Find out what specials they have running and make sure to tell them how old you are and what state you live in or if you’re traveling with a group of people or another couple or have cruised with their cruise line in the past. Does it include your airfare? Do you need a family deal? This is because your specific situation might entitle you for huge discounts. Take whatever the quote given to you by the cruise line rep as your starting price point.
3. Next check out the Sunday newspaper ads in the travel section and look for cruise bargains. The larger city newspapers and the newspapers located in or near cruise embarkation cities are great for finding good or cheap cruise deals. You can go to your local library to view the ads if they carry those news papers. Some regular newspapers even have there travel ads online.
4. Take a look at the cruise booking Web sites. There are cruise discount agencies that might have the cheapest cruise rates to be found anywhere, whether you want a luxury cruise or budget cruise. Large travel Web sites such as Orbitz, Expedia and Travelocity usually have great deals too. You can also find last-minute cruise deals too. The cruise Web sites’ prices are usually evenhandedly similar. And the travel sites are usually similar but somewhat higher. Make sure to ask about any additional, secret or hidden fees, such as cancellation penalties. These can cost between and .
5. Make sure to check with your cruise travel agent. Some people like to work with a travel agent or are not savvy about researching online. Find out if they charge a consulting fee before you meet. Some fees are usually refundable if they book your cruise. When you get together with the travel agent, state exactly what you want and that you’re comparing prices. Your local travel agent can be very helpful if you have disabilities, health problems, special needs or need visas or other documents.
6. Think about placing a “cruise wanted” ad on Craigslist online. Be specific and detailed about what you want. Then sit back and move for replies.
7. Once you have a number of cruise line or cruise package quotes compare them and try to negotiate a lower price, extra discounts or some onboard extras.
Note that if you’re getting the same quote from your travel agent that you’re getting from the cruise line then you need to continue shopping for the ideal quote – your travel agent isn’t saving you any money. The ideal cruise deal is out there that is just right for you and will save you money on your pass too regardless if you’re going to Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii, the Bahamas, or Bermuda. You just need to do a tiny research and don’t take the first deal you see.

Where to Travel With Kids on a Budget
20 May 2012 by admin
Categories: Travel Tips
Of course you can travel just about anywhere with your children on a budget. Like any travel experience on a budget you need to research and plan well to make the most of your travel dollar. Many places, however, are family or kid friendly and will throw in added extras for the children. So whether you intend traveling at home or abroad, look for places that will cater to your family’s needs.
RV trips are a great way to travel on a budget. In fact, traveling with a automobile is nearly essential for families. It is usually cheaper than buying rail passes or catching taxis everywhere. But more importantly, it gives you that ‘door to door’ freedom that is necessary when traveling with kids.
If you are traveling overseas, have you considered staying in a hostel with your family? This is a much cheaper option than staying in hotels and many hostels are family friendly and have no age limit (except in Bavaria where you can’t be older than twenty six). You can request a room with enough bunk beds to accommodate your family and you can cook your meals in the communal kitchen. Large savings to be made!
In the USA there are many places to travel with your family on a budget. Think about these options:
1. Camping. The cheapest option around for any travel adventure. Many campsites have activities for children and if you don’t like the intent of staying in a tent, many places have cabins to rent that are still cheaper than a hotel room. Camping gets you up close and individualized with nature and gets the children outside and running around.
2. What about spending some time at a Working Farm or Dude Ranch? Look around for reasonably priced holidays at these destinations and you will find plenty of activities and region for children and adults alike.
3. Head to Disneyland in off peak season for huge savings.
4. The same can be stated for traveling to Hawaii. Check the packages acquirable in low season and see how inexpensive it is.
5. You’ll also find some excellent deals in traveling to Mexico. Go for all-inclusive resorts, especially in the low season.
What about if you want to travel overseas? Where are some good places to take the children on a budget?
* Even though Australia is a long way away and can be a bit high-priced to get there, it is a very child-friendly place with lots of cost saving adventures to be had for the kids. Australian off peak is different from North USA so do some research.
* Europe can be done on a budget with kids. Pick your destinations with the children in mind. Get them involved in your itinerary. Stay in hostels and travel by car. You’ll be astonished at how much you save and how much you see.
* Some island resorts are very child friendly. In Fiji there are resorts where children under twelve stay and take for free. Do your research!
* How about a family cruise? Cruises are great because they are all-inclusive, cater for families and you get to explore lots of places. There are some good family package deals to be found with most cruise companies.
So get planning and get packed. Plan your family pass and check out the deals available. Going off peak is the ideal way to save money. If you are going to take the children out of school purchase them a journal so they can record their experiences. It’s astonishing how much they’ll learn by traveling with their family.

Top 10 Caribbean Honeymoon Destinations
Planning your Caribbean honeymoon shouldn’t be as complex as planning your wedding… Right! But with so many enticing options, where do you start? Well, begin here of course and let me help you discover the ideal of the ideal honeymoon destinations.
Certainly you’re looking for a romantic adventure where you’ll experience many “first time” events together and each couple wants something a tiny different. I had a mythologic Caribbean honeymoon and have taken some great trips in my lifetime. Check out these top picks and what makes them special. One of them is perfect for that memorable trip you’ve been dreaming of!
Barbados
This island is totally gorgeous and you will definitely leave feeling spoiled. Stay at the secluded 110-year-old Crane Hotel for nostalgic romance or at the Peach & Quiet for a budget honeymoon. It’s the adventurous couples dream with clear blue waters for scuba divers, windsurfers, and sightseeing from the air in a helicopter or underwater in a mini-sub. You’ll find decent beaches here, but not the ideal of the bunch.
Turks & Caicos
If you like small secluded luxury hotels with world-class spas and great restaurants, then you’ll love it here on any of the eight inhabited islands. The uncrowded beaches are totally fabulous. You might even end up sunbathing next to a motion picture star as many pass in the Turks & Caicos. Go horseback riding, canvass to one of the many deserted islands and play “Lost” for the day, see flocks of flamingos or thousands of iguanas on Tiny Water Cay. The scuba diving and snorkeling are phenomenal as is the deep-sea fishing and bone fishing. Kite-boarding, windsurfing and other water sports are also popular. A definite favorite for a perfect beach honeymoon vacation!
St. Lucia
This island is straight out of a tale with lush tropical scenery and twin mountain peaks covered in rain forest serenity. The locals are very friendly and seeing the St. Lucia Soufriere volcano from the inside will leave you in awe. Taking a day to tour the island on horseback is one of the major reasons this is in the top ten places to take a Caribbean honeymoon. Also, many hotels really cater to honeymooners with all-inclusive packages. Go in Might and you’ll catch the Jazz Festival, which is way fun!
Dominican Republic
A great choice for a budget honeymoon that still had beautiful beaches and lots to offer. Taking a catamaran ride to the enchanting Saona Island is just one of the ways to enjoy this romantic getaway. Add a visit to the 600-acre Ecological Park enjoying a dozen blue lagoons is nothing short then a romantic getaway in heaven.
Martinique
A great romantic get-a-way, yet for some reason it’s still underrated compared to the rest here. Inhale the French culture along with the tantalizing scents of the beautiful flowers that consume the entire island. Take a canopy tour and go hiking in the rain forest canyons before getting a taste of superb Creole cuisine, going shopping and sampling the evenhandedly lively nightlife.
Anguilla
When people select a Caribbean honeymoon this island is over-looked more times than not. I have no intent why because it’s built for couples to enjoy. You won’t find much commercialization here, the nightlife is pretty low-key and water sports are not a huge draw. But you’ll have dozens of fantastic beaches to explore and the fine dining is possibly the ideal in all the Caribbean.
British Virgin Islands (BVI)
You have several islands to select from with many hotel options for a secluded romantic retreat. Ride a yacht to the famous Baths of Virgin Gorda or find a hidden beach for you and your loved to enjoy all alone. The beach bars on Jost Van Dyke are a fun hangout favourite with sailors.
US Virgin Islands (USVI)
All beautiful areas here, the fact that they’re all considered part of the United Says makes things more convenient. St. John has the ideal beaches and diving while St. Thomas is known for excellent dining and shopping. Of course, St. Croix is cheaper and also has casinos, so you pick or hop around. The variety of USVI makes it one of the ideal honeymoon destinations.
Jamaica
I totally love Ocho Rios. The Dunn’s River Falls has got to be the coolest adventure climb on any island. Climb the waterfall and jump back down into the water… amazing! Horseback riding on the beach, a tiny reggae music and rum at sunset and you’ve got yourself a nice romantic getaway plus it’s great for a budget honeymoon.
Cayman Islands
Saving this for last simply because if you want to take a romantic Caribbean honeymoon and still feel like your back home this is the closest thing you’ll come across. With many American themes you won’t feel too far away, but taking in some of the ideal snorkeling and scuba diving in the Caribbean will be breathtaking. Also, if you are into shopping and intake well, then the Caymans have got to be a top pick for you Caribbean honeymoon.
Now that you’ve got some good ideas, you just have to decide which is the ideal honeymoon destination for you. Hopefully this list has got you excited and also helped narrow down your choices too. Good luck and have fun. Whichever one you decide on, I hope you two have a wonderful wedding and a romantic honeymoon!

Travel Tips for Packing Smart
18 May 2012 by admin
Categories: Travel Tips
Vacations are great, aren’t they? It’s a chance to get away from life’s stresses and unwind, or see some place new. Each part of the pass is exciting and enjoyable…except the packing. These travel tips will take your mind off the stress of knowing what to take and what to leave behind.
Need vs. Want
We’d all pack the kitchen sink if we could but as more airlines are cracking down on overweight fees and limits for luggage, it’s important that you stick to a plan of what you’ll need over what you want to take. Check the weather to help you select the right clothes and bring one to two off-season items to be prepared for any weather changes.
Personal Items
With new regulations on travel there are some things you simply can’t carry on airplanes anymore. Travel sizes of your favorite shampoos, conditioners and other toiletries are usually acquirable in drug stores. Again the key to travel tips of the individualized nature is not to bring more than what you’ll need or use. First aid kits, over-the-counter medications and deodorant are musts and can be costly if you buy from the hotel where you stay.
Fold With Care
Rolling clothes instead of folding has long since been hailed as a great way to reduce wrinkles and create more room in your suitcase. When you are packing your suitcase, think in sequence of unpacking. What will you wear first? If it’s pajamas or a nice suit, place those items on top so you aren’t rummaging around for what you need.
Basic travel tips such as these can be applied to pass traveling as well as business. They can also help you select how to pack in order to save space and money during your travels.

Why an All Inclusive Honeymoon Vacation is a Great Idea
An all inclusive honeymoon pass includes everything you need to have a romantic and resting honeymoon. And after the stress and craziness of the wedding what couple doesn’t need this. The all inclusive package can save couples not only money but countless hours of work and planning.
Honeymoon pass planning should be exciting and fun and the end result should be a carefree escape to paradise. When planning your all inclusive honeymoon package, often times the hardest part is getting started and searching for the perfect honeymoon pass can still be overwhelming.
The ideal way to begin is to come to a consensus of where you both would like to go and the type of activities that you both enjoy doing together. Once you have this squared away you can begin looking for all inclusive offers in that area and begin comparing prices, accommodations, levels of service, and activities.
All inclusive honeymoons wage a romantic intimate setting for a lifetime of honeymoon memories and the choices for a tropical honeymoon are endless and couples often turn to the convenient and economical option of an all-inclusive resort.
As an example let’s look at Sandals resorts, which is couples only. They have kept things easy at all their resort locations for the honeymooning couple by including everything in one price. With luxurious ocean view rooms and suites, a selection of gourmet restaurants (offering plateau service and not just buffets), unlimited premium brand beverages, a wide selection of land and water sports, including golf and scuba diving, and roundtrip airfield transfers and tipping, Sandals represents the eventual luxury all-inclusive honeymoon experience. The pass can be as private as you wish or packed with activities, and since a significant portion of the clientele are couples on their honeymoon, rest assured that the resorts comprehend your desire for privacy.
It is important to be aware that the “all” part of the all-inclusive can vary widely from one resort to another, as can the quality. There is usually consistency within resort chains concerning what’s included so be sure to thoroughly research apiece resort you are interested in to be sure they offer what you are looking for.
Quality resorts will offer a variety of sit down gourmet restaurants offering wide menu selections and even formal white glove service. Some resorts feature smaller restaurants with varied hours for your convenience. Room service is often an option at upscale all-inclusive resorts, just as it would be in any luxury hotel. All beverages are free of charge at most all-inclusive resorts. The more luxurious resorts even include unlimited premium brand liquors. Bars of various sizes are positioned throughout the resorts, some staying open all night. There is usually one such bar per resort and diversion goes on all night.
More and more couples are choosing an inclusive honeymoon pass because regular expenses like food, beverage and entertainment are included in the pass package price. If you want assist and affordability then planning an all inclusive honeymoon might be just the ticket for you.

Travel Tips For Packing Luggage ? Making Sure Your Bags Make The Trip
16 May 2012 by admin
Categories: Travel Tips
In today’s busy and costly world of travel, packing your bags for any trip, whether it is a swift weekend getaway or a month long holiday abroad can be a bit dicey. This is especially true if you will be travelling by airplane. As the airlines have all adopted evenhandedly strict and in some cases exceedingly prohibitive rules and fees surrounding the transport of your bags. From increased security concerns to the rising cost of jetliner fuel, packing for a trip is not what it used to be at all! Before embarking on your next journey, you should consult some travel tips for packing luggage.
It used to be that packing your bags was a chore that you underwent simply to make sure that you would have all that you needed when you arrived at your destination. As long as you could get your suitcase closed, you were good to go. Very little, if any thought was ever given to the actual trip there and back when you were considering what you needed to bring along. This day however, you need to devote just as much if not more thought to what will and will not be granted on the plane as what you would like to wear once you get to your destination. It is wise to consult different travel tips for packing luggage before you start packing, just o make sure that your luggage will be granted onboard.
It used to be that apiece passenger aboard an aircraft was granted two checked bags, one carry on and one individualized item as part of the cost of their airline ticket.
